ஐயத்திலிருந்து நீங்கி மெய்யுணர்வு பெற்றவர்க்கு அடைந்துள்ள இவ்வுலகை விட அடைய வேண்டிய மேலுலகம் அண்மையில் உள்ளதாகும்.

கலைஞர் உரை:
ஐயப்பாடுகளைத் தெளிந்த ஆராய்ச்சி வாயிலாகத் தீர்த்துக் கொண்டவர்களுக்குப் பூமியைவிட வானம் மிக அருகில் இருப்பதாகக் கருதுகின்ற ஊக்கம் ஏற்படும்.

பற்றில்லாதவனாகிய கடவுளுடைய பற்றை மட்டும் பற்றிக் கொள்ள வேண்டும், உள்ள பற்றுக்களை விட்டொழிப்பதற்கே அப் பற்றைப் பற்ற வேண்டும்.

கலைஞர் உரை:
எதிலும் பற்றில்லாதவராக யார் இருக்கிறாரோ அவரிடம் மட்டும் பற்றுக் கொள்ள வேண்டும். துறவறத்தினர் தம் பற்றுகளை விட்டொழிப்பதற்கு அத்தகையோரிடம் கொள்ளும் பற்றுதான் துணை நிற்கும்.

சாலமன் பாப்பையா உரை:
ஆசை ஏதும் இல்லாதவனாகிய இறைவன் மீது ஆசை கொள்க; அவன் மீது ஆசை கொள்வது நம் ஆசைகளை விடுவதற்கே.

இருவகைப் பற்றும் அற்றபொழுதே அந்நிலை பிறவித் துன்பத்தை ஒழிக்கும், இல்லையானால் (பிறவித்துன்பம் மாறி மாறி வந்து) நிலையாமைக் காணப்படும்.

கலைஞர் உரை:
பற்றுகளைத் துறந்துவிட்டால், பிறப்பில் ஏற்படும் இன்ப துன்பங்கள் வருவதி்ல்லை. இல்லையேல், அந்த இன்ப துன்பங்கள் மாறிமாறி வரக்கூடிய நிலையாமை தோன்றும்.

சாலமன் பாப்பையா உரை:
ஆசைகளை முழுவதுமாக விட்டபோதுதான் பிறப்பு என்னும் கட்டு அறுபடும்; விடவில்லை என்றால், பிறப்பு மறுபடியும் தொடரும்.

அரைகுறையாக இல்லாமல் அனைத்தும் துறந்தவர்களே உயர்ந்த நிலையை அடைவார்கள். அவ்வாறு துறவாதவர்கள் அறியாமையென்னும் வலையில் சிக்கியவர்களாவார்கள்.

ஐம்பொறிகளுக்கும் உரிய ஐந்து புலன்களின் ஆசையையும் வெல்லுதல் வேண்டும், அவற்றிற்கு வேண்டிய பொருள்களை எல்லாம் ஒரு சேர விட வேண்டும்.

கலைஞர் உரை:
ஐம் புலன்களையும் அடக்கி வெல்வதும், அப்புலன்கள் விரும்புகின்றவற்றை யெல்லாம் விட்டுவிடுவதும் துறவுக்கு இலக்கணமாகும்.

ஆசைகளைப் பிறப்பிக்கும் ஐந்து புலன்களையும் அடக்க வேண்டும்; அவற்றை அடக்குவதற்குத் தனக்குரிய அனைத்தையும் விட்டு விட வேண்டும்.

ஒருவனைத் துன்பம் துளைத்தெடுக்காமல் இருக்க எல்லாம் இருக்கும் போதே அவற்றைக் துறந்து விடுவானேயானால், அவன் உலகில் பெறக்கூடிய இன்பங்கள் பலவாகும்.

பொருள்களின் மீதுள்ள பற்றைத் துறந்தபின் வந்து சேரும் இன்பங்கள் பல; இன்பங்களை விரும்பினால் துறவு கொள்க.

கலைஞர் உரை:

களவு செய்து பொருள் கொள்வதால் உண்டாகிய ஆக்கம் பெருகுவது போல் தோன்றி இயல்பாக இருக்க வேண்டிய அளவையும் கடந்து கெட்டு விடும்.

கலைஞர் உரை:
கொள்ளையடித்துப் பொருள் குவிப்பது, முதலில் பெரிதாகத் தோன்றினாலும், அந்தச் செயல் ஏற்கனவே இருந்த செல்வத்தையும் அடித்து கொண்டு போய்விடும்.

சாலமன் பாப்பையா உரை:
திருடுவதால் வரும் செல்வம், பெருகுவது போலத் தோன்றி விரைவில் அழியும்.

கலைஞர் உரை:
பிறருக்குரிய பொருளைச் சூழ்ச்சியினால் கவர்ந்து கொள்ளலாமா என்று ஒருவன் நினைப்பதேகூடக் குற்றமாகும்.

அடுத்தவர் பொருளை அவருக்குத் தெரியாமல் திருடுவோம் என்று மனத்தால் நினைப்பதும் தீமையானது.

கலைஞர் உரை:
எந்தப் பொருளையும் களவாடும் நினைவு தன் நெஞ்சை அணுகாமல் பார்த்துக் (காத்துக்) கொள்பவனே இகழ்ச்சிக்கு ஆட்படாமல் வாழ முடியும்.

சாலமன் பாப்பையா உரை:

ஆற்றலற்றவர்கள் பலராக இருப்பதற்குக் காரணம், மன உறுதி் கொண்டவர் சிலராக இருப்பதும், உறுதி்யற்றவர் பலராக இருப்பதும் தான்.

கலைஞர் உரை:
அடக்கமும், அன்பு நெறியும், துன்பங்களைத் தாங்கும் பொறுமையும் வாய்ந்த தவம் மேற்கொண்டவர்கள் மட்டுமே தமது கடமையைச் செய்பவர்கள்; அதற்கு மாறானவர்கள், ஆசையால் அலைக்கழிக்கப்பட்டு வீணான செயல்களில் ஈடுபடுபவர்கள்.
