Deming Principle#11 /14

The 14 points are a basis for transformation of industry.
#11 Eliminate work standards (quotas) on the factory floor. Substitute leadership. Eliminate management by objective. Eliminate management by numbers, numerical goals. Substitute leadership.

Deming Principle#10 /14

The 14 points are a basis for transformation of industry.
#10 Eliminate slogans, exhortations, and targets for the workforce asking for zero defects and new levels of productivity. Deming Principle#4 / 14

The 14 points are a basis for transformation of industry.
#4 End the practice of awarding business on the basis of price tag. Instead, minimise total cost. Move towards a single supplier for any one item, on a long-term relationship of loyalty and trust.

Deming Principle@3 / 14

The 14 points are a basis for transformation of industry.
#3 Cease dependence on inspection to achieve quality. Eliminate the need for inspection on a mass basis by building quality into the product in the first place.

Deming Principle #2 / 14

The 14 points are a basis for transformation of industry.
#2 Adopt the new philosophy. We are in a new economic age. Western management must awaken to the challenge, must learn their responsibilities, and take on leadership for change.

Friday Story Time: Kindness

Maria's Kindness

The story was from a small village in a remote area. The people of the village were poor, and they struggled to make ends meet. One day, a traveler came to the village and asked the people for food and shelter. The villagers, who had very little themselves, were hesitant to help the traveler.

However, one woman, named Maria, took pity on the traveler and invited him into her home. She gave him a warm meal and a place to sleep for the night. The traveler was grateful and thanked Maria for her kindness.

The next day, the traveler left the village and went on his way. Maria didn't think much of it and went about her day as usual. However, a few weeks later, a messenger arrived at her door with a letter from the traveler.
The letter read, "Dear Maria, I cannot thank you enough for your kindness and compassion. Your selflessness inspired me to do the same. I have since arrived in a nearby town and have found a job. I now have enough money to support myself and others who are in need. I am forever grateful for your generosity, and I hope to pass it on to others in need."
Maria was moved by the letter and was overjoyed to hear that her small act of kindness had made such a big impact. She felt grateful to have been able to help the traveler, and was inspired to continue spreading kindness and compassion wherever she could.
Years went by, and Maria became known throughout the village as a kind and compassionate person. She helped those who were in need, and her actions inspired others to do the same. The village became a more caring and compassionate place because of her, and her legacy of kindness and compassion lived on long after she was gone.

In the end, Maria's simple act of kindness had a ripple effect that touched the lives of countless people. It just goes to show that even the smallest acts of kindness can make a big difference in the world.
